Personal Approach: I believe that the body holds deep wisdom, and my approach is grounded in intuition, compassion, and presence. I listen closely—not just with my hands, but with intention—to what each client’s body and energy are communicating. Whether someone needs gentle, restorative touch or focused deep tissue work, I aim to create a healing space that fosters balance, relief, and lasting transformation. I don’t believe in a “no pain, no gain” mentality; instead, I honor the body’s capacity to release through mindful and often subtle work.
About Me: Hi, I’m Brenden—licensed massage therapist and founder of TruBalance Bodywork. My path into healing work was inspired by a personal journey of transformation and a deep desire to support others in finding balance and relief. I bring a grounded, intuitive, and heart-centered presence into every session, drawing on a blend of bodywork and energy healing practices. When I’m not in the treatment room, I enjoy long-distance trail running, connecting with nature, and cultivating meaningful relationships—all of which inform the care and intentionality I offer in my work.

Cranialsacral therapy is a gentle, non-invasive approach that works with the rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid and the subtle movements of the cranial bones. This method helps regulate the nervous system and creates a sense of deep safety, making it especially effective for releasing trauma. It’s also ideal for clients who are touch-sensitive or carry unease about being physically worked on, as the touch is light, respectful, and deeply calming.
-
Cupping therapy helps release deep tension by creating suction that lifts stagnant tissues and increases blood flow. While it is often used for physical issues, cupping can also help shift emotional energy that’s stuck in the muscles and fascia. Many clients report an emotional “lightness” after a session, as if something deeper has been let go.
-
Myofascial release works by gently easing restrictions in the fascia — the connective tissue that holds tension and trauma within the body. Emotions, especially those tied to past stress or trauma, can become “stuck” in these tissues. By creating space and encouraging natural movement, this technique allows both physical and emotional patterns to unwind, helping clients feel lighter, more open, and more balanced.
-
Reflexology uses gentle pressure on specific points of the feet or hands that correspond to areas of the body. It’s a powerful option for those who have emotional blocks, past trauma, or discomfort with full-body touch. This method can stimulate the nervous system in a calming way, helping the body relax while encouraging emotional balance and energetic flow.
-
Reiki and energy work are subtle yet deeply powerful tools for emotional healing. Working with the body’s energetic field, this approach helps clear stagnation, release stored emotions, and rebalance the mind-body-spirit connection. Because it doesn’t require direct pressure or invasive touch, Reiki is especially supportive for trauma survivors or anyone who feels uneasy with hands-on bodywork.
-
Trigger points are often formed in response to stress or emotional strain, not just physical overuse. By locating and releasing these points of tension, trigger point therapy can help break cycles of pain that also carry emotional weight. Many clients experience a deep sense of relief, not only in their bodies but also in their emotional state, as old holding patterns are addressed.
